You bring up a really great point with social media and the consequences of not being safe. Just like cyberbullying, students should be continually educated on being safe online, and when they feel unsafe they need to be able to talk about it with either their parents or a close adult. Social media is such a big part of networking, and now education, and it is our responsibility as future educators to protect ourselves as well as our students with the help of their parents. I like your plan to monitor social media in the classroom if it is ever integrated, this gives us an opportunity to teach our students about internet safety and the consequences if not.
